I make my living being on the road and since 2009, I’ve traveled during floods, fires, hurricanes and tornadoes, riots, protests, regime changes and political coos. In all that time I’ve never seen the world so close to the point of complete shutdown, and I have certainly never had to cancel or postpone this many projects on my calendar before. But COVID-19 is different.

How did I go from creating the most in-depth photography tutorials in the world, to taking photos of my feet with an iPhone? This post talks a bit about why I made the decision to shift from high end education to producing light-hearted entertainment.
Episode 2 of “Moments in Time” was published on YouTube this past Tuesday and it featured me working through a pretty funny photography challenge. The goal was to take a photo of my feet in an interesting way, which led me to lie down on the hot and dirty pavement in Singapore while carefully getting a shot with my iPhone. I think this was probably about the same moment that everyone who was watching discovered that “Moments in Time” is nothing like my Photographing The World in-depth tutorial series.

After 7 countries, months of production and connecting with so many talented artists along the way, I’m so excited that Episode 1 of Moments in Time is finally available on YouTube!
In this episode, I arrive in Singapore and connect with my old friend and talented commercial photographer, Edward Adios, as we discuss some of the fascinating things that make the Lion City so unique. I share some of the best photography spots around The Helix Bridge and Marina Bay, where we later return to capture the world class laser show during Blue Hour. I meet up with local documentary and street photographer Mindy Tan as she talks about her passion for capturing the rich history of Singapore before explaining her street photography techniques in Little India.

I’ve spent the last ten years traveling the world full-time as a professional photographer. And the more I explored our incredible planet, the more I discovered that the true beauty doesn’t reside only in the photos that we take, but rather in the relationships we build with the people we meet along the way, the cultures we explore, the stories we’re inspired by, and all of the wonderful moments in time that we experience between capturing those frames. I began to feel like there was so much more that I was learning and being inspired by that I wanted to share with the world, beyond just the photos I was taking.

Let’s dive into what makes the Adobe Lightroom Enhance Details function so great, and how to get the best out of this new advanced feature. Whether it’s posting them to Instagram or creating huge fine art gallery prints, post-processing is key to achieving a signature look. And by far, the most important element of a well processed image begins by editing the raw files from our cameras. That’s why the addition of the new “Enhance Details” feature in Adobe Lightroom is such a big deal. For someone like me who wants to achieve the highest quality possible when I’m editing my images, knowing that this new “Demosaic” algorithm by Adobe is using machine learning to analyze and enhance the image at a pixel level gives me a tremendous amount of comfort, and it’s something that I’ll be using from now on for all of my portfolio work.

Live on-stage during Photokina 2018 It was early in 2009 when I picked up a camera and launched my career as a full-time travel photographer. Back then, if someone would’ve told me that over the next 10 years I’d be visiting more than 65 countries, flying almost 2...
